Blair Caple has over thirty years experience developing and implementing turnaround, restructuring and growth plans for domestic and international organizations and founded Kaaterskil Management during the Boston real estate crisis and subsequent national recession in 1990.
Blair specializes in operational and financial restructurings and has been a renewal, turnaround and management consultant for dozens of companies. His industry experience includes Life Sciences, Business Services, Financial Services and Financial Advisory, Consumer Goods, Travel and Hospitality, Sports and Entertainment, Distribution, Retail, Political Campaign and Issue Advocacy, Government and Nonprofit, Research and Process, and Real Estate and Construction.
Blair is highly skilled at strategy and communications, cash flow management, capital restructuring, board and operational dynamics, business process redesign and internal controls, collective bargaining negotiation, corporate communications, and forensic accounting and litigation support. He was profiled in CFO Magazine.
Blair is also the founder of Monopoint Ventures, a life sciences technology company whose first product, Virgil, is an AI-assisted laboratory workflow authoring platform. Virgil enables scientists to design validated lab workflows using natural language, with built-in GxP compliance and cross-platform portability. The same instinct for navigating complexity and building practical solutions that drives Kaaterskil’s consulting practice is at the heart of the Virgil platform.
Blair holds a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University and is a registered architect and software engineer. He is an active mountaineer and ice climber. He currently resides in the Boston metro area.
